Effective date: July 31, 2026 App: My People: Recall What Matters (“My People” or the "App"), a mobile application for Apple iOS and Google Android devices Provider: KELC Enterprises, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") Contact: contact@KELCEnterprises.com
The My People: Recall What Matters App
My People is built so that your information stays on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your data, we do not have accounts or logins on our side, and we cannot see, read, or access the contacts, notes, or other personal information you keep in the App. There is no central database of your data because there is no central anything — the App runs entirely on your phone.
The one exception worth knowing up front: when you choose to, the App can write your information back to your phone's own Contacts — and from there it may sync through whatever accounts you have set up on your phone (such as iCloud or Google). That is your phone and your accounts, not ours. Section 7 explains this in full.
The plain-language summary above is provided for convenience. The full policy follows.
Notice Concerning Data Collection, Storage, and Processing: My People operates under a strict zero-collection, local-first architecture.
Zero-Server Declaration: We operate no backend servers, maintain no central databases, and utilize no cloud infrastructure to receive, route, or store user information. The App runs entirely isolated on your local hardware.
Explicit No-Collection Policy: Because the App maintains no network connection to our systems, we do not collect, harvest, receive, store, or have access to any personal information, contacts, notes, inputs, analytics, telemetry, or diagnostic logs entered into or generated by the App.
Local Control Emphasis: You retain absolute and exclusive control over your data, which resides entirely within your device's local application storage. We cannot view, modify, recover, or delete your locally stored information or encrypted backups.
Sync Firewall & Third-Party Handoff: Any outward transfer of data—such as writing updates back to your device’s native address book or exporting backups—occurs solely at your explicit direction. Once data crosses the application boundary into your device's native contacts or personal cloud accounts (e.g., iCloud, Google, or Exchange), it is governed entirely by your device configurations and the respective third-party provider's terms. We maintain a strict liability firewall and have no visibility into, or responsibility for, any downstream synchronization.
1. Information stored in the App, and where it lives
The App is a personal relationship-management tool. You may enter or import information such as names, nicknames, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, notes about your relationships, relationships between people, group memberships, and details about family members.
All of this information is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to us and is not stored on any server we control. We do not receive a copy. If you delete the App, the locally stored data is removed by your phone’s operating system along with it (we recommend creating a backup first — see Section 5).
Information you direct the App to write back to your phone's Contacts is subject to Section 7.
2. Information we do NOT collect
Because the App has no server component, we do not collect, receive, store, or have access to:
Your contacts, notes, or any content you enter into the App;
Account credentials (the App has no sign-in to our systems);
Analytics, usage telemetry, behavioral tracking, or advertising identifiers;
Location data; or
Crash logs containing your personal content.
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal information to third parties, because we do not collect it in the first place.
The App contains no analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting software of any kind, and makes no network requests to transmit or retrieve your content.
3. Device permissions the App may request
The App may ask your permission to access certain device features. Your device’s operating system controls these permissions, and you may grant or revoke them at any time in your device Settings. When granted, the App uses them only on your device:
Contacts — to let you import existing contacts, including any notes saved on a contact when you choose to import them, into the App, and — separately, and only when you choose it — to save your updates back to your phone's contacts. Imported information is copied into the App's local storage on your device. We do not receive any information that you choose save on your phone. See Section 7 for what the App can write.
Calendar — to match your calendar events to people in the App, so you can log notes after a get-together, and to surface reminders. The App reads event details and event attendee information (including attendee names and email addresses) solely to match those people against contacts you already keep in the App. Calendar and attendee data is read on your device, is not copied into the App except where you choose to link an event to a contact, and is not transmitted to us.
Photos / Camera — to let you attach a photo to a contact. Photos you select are stored locally on your device. We do not receive them. See Section 7 regarding photos on newly created phone contacts.
Notifications — to deliver reminders you have set (such as birthdays, anniversaries, custom dates, or check-ins). These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. The App does not use push notifications, does not request or hold a push token, and there is no server that could send you a message.
If you decline a permission, the related feature will be unavailable, but the rest of the App will continue to function.
Sharing content into the App. The App registers a share extension on iOS and a share target on Android, which lets you send text or a link from another app into My People (for example, to save it as a note). Content you share in this way is stored locally on your device like anything else you enter. We do not receive it.
4. On-device intelligence ("Detect Info" and related features)
The App offers optional features that analyze the text of notes you write — for example, to suggest a birthday or a family member's name it detected in your note.
This analysis is performed entirely on your device. The note text is processed locally and is not sent to us, and is not sent to any server by the App. We do not receive the input or the results. The method depends on your platform: on iPhone, the App uses on-device pattern matching and, where Apple Intelligence is available, also uses Apple's on-device foundation model. On Android, the App uses on-device pattern matching only. In every case the processing happens on your device and nothing is transmitted to us. Where the Apple on-device model is used, Apple's handling of on-device intelligence is governed by Apple's own privacy practices.
5. Backups
The App lets you create an encrypted backup file of your data so you can move to a new phone or recover after a problem.
Backups are encrypted with a password that you choose. The encryption key is derived from your password using a standard key-derivation function, is never transmitted to us or stored by us, and is not stored in the backup file.
We cannot read your backup, and we cannot recover your password. If you lose the password, the backup cannot be opened — this is by design, for your privacy.
Optional password hints are stored unprotected, by design. If you add a hint when creating a backup, the hint is stored in unencrypted, readable form inside the backup file so it can be shown before the file is unlocked; anyone who obtains the file can read the hint. If you add a hint for the App's lock screen, it is stored on your device and can be revealed on the App lock screen without entering the password. You choose the content of any hint; a hint that reveals or too-strongly suggests your password reduces the protection the password provides.
When you create a backup, you choose where it goes using your device's share options (for example, saving to Files, iCloud Drive, or sending it to yourself). Once you place a backup into another service (such as iCloud or email), that service's own privacy terms apply to the stored file. We are not involved in that storage and do not have access to it.
Because we do not store, retain, or have access to your encryption passwords or keys, the loss of your chosen password will result in the permanent and unrecoverable loss of access to your backup file, as further detailed in the App's Terms of Service.
6. Calls, messages, and email
The App can help you start a phone call, a text message, a WhatsApp message, or an email to a contact. When you choose to do this, the App hands the phone number or email address — and any pre-filled message text — to your device's Phone, Messages, Mail, or WhatsApp app. The actual call or sending happens through those apps, under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not place calls, do not send messages or email, and do not receive the contents of anything you send.
7. Updating your phone's contacts
This section describes the one way information can travel out of the App. It goes to your phone's address book, at your direction — never to us.
The App includes features ("Update to Phone" and related tools) that let you send information from the App back to your phone's own Contacts. These features are optional, run only when you start them, and always show you every proposed change for review before anything is written. You can uncheck anything you do not want written.
When you approve changes, the App may:
Create new contacts in your phone's address book for people you keep only in the App;
Update existing phone contacts — for example, names, nicknames, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, birthdays and other dates, company, website, related people, and (for newly created contacts only) a photo;
Add or remove contacts from groups/labels in your phone's address book; and
Write custom fields you have created onto the phone contact's card.
What this means for your privacy. The App writes to the Contacts database on your device. That database may be synchronized by your phone to accounts you have configured — for example iCloud, Google, or a work Exchange account. If so, information you direct the App to write may be copied to those accounts and become subject to their privacy policies. This is your phone's own sync behavior, configured by you, and is outside our control and outside our knowledge. We never see any of it.
If you do not want App information to reach your phone's contacts, simply do not use these features; nothing is written unless you approve it.
8. Children's privacy
The App is a general-audience personal-organization tool. We do not collect personal information from any user — adult or minor — and, because we operate no server and collect no data, we receive no information about anyone, including children, through the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the App only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Because you control the data stored in the App on your device, you act as the controller of any personal information regarding third parties (including family members, colleagues, or children) that you choose to input.
You may choose to store information about the people in your life — family members, friends, classmates, colleagues, and their families — including children, within the App. That information remains on your device under your control. We never receive it. You control it directly on your device and may edit or delete it at any time. If you use the features described in Section 7, information you have stored about others — including children — may be written to your phone's own contacts at your direction.
9. Your control over your information
Because your data lives on your device, you have direct and complete control over it. You can:
View, edit, or delete any contact, note, or detail at any time within the App;
Delete all App data by deleting the App from your device;
Export an encrypted backup at any time; and
Revoke any device permission at any time in your device's Settings.
We cannot perform these actions for you, because we have no access to your data — but you do not need us to, because the controls are in your hands on the device.
Note that information already written to your phone's contacts (Section 7) lives in your phone's address book and is managed there, not in the App. Deleting the App does not remove it.
10. Security
The App stores your data within your device's app storage, which is protected by your device's own security (such as your passcode, PIN, pattern, Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint unlock).
The App additionally offers an optional in-app lock, which you can enable in Settings. When enabled, the App requires your device's biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) or your device passcode before it will open. Whether the lock is enabled is stored in the device's secure storage. The App never sees, stores, or transmits your biometric data or your passcode — authentication is performed entirely by your device’s operating system, which tells the App only whether it succeeded.
Backups are encrypted as described in Section 5. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, but because your data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers, it is not exposed to the categories of risk that affect server-based services (such as a breach of a central database).
11. Third-party services
The App runs on Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems and is intended for distribution through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and privacy policy of the store and operating system you use (Apple or Google, as applicable). Features that hand off to other apps (Phone, Messages, Mail, WhatsApp) are subject to those providers' terms. Information written to your phone's contacts may be synced by accounts you have configured on your device, subject to those providers' terms (Section 7). We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of Apple, Google, or any other third party.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the App's features change. If we make a material change, we will update the "Effective date" above and make the revised policy available www.kelcenterprises.com. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
